Belinda Emmett

I always loved Belinda's character, whenever she was doing something on TV I wanted to listen to her. One of the things was how "real" she came across and down to earth. I was saddened today that a young women was taken, yet believe now that she has no more suffering, no more pain, no more tears, no more struggling. I believe she has left and will continue to leave a legacy behind her.

I just want to express my deepest sympathy for you all at this very painful time in your lives. I was shocked to hear of gorgeous Belinda's passing today, & can't begin to imagine what you're all feeling, besides absolute numbness and emptiness.

Belinda never showed her pain, she always had a smile on her face & she was the epitome of grace at all times. Rove, the only consolation is the obvious...that she's no longer hurting & can finally rest in peace. You seemed to have the kind of love story that is of fairytales & it was plain for all to see, that you two were true soul mates. She will be watching you from wherever she is now & smiling down on you all because she'll probably be relieved that through her own pain ending, yours will start to ease too, over time.

My fiancé and I were shocked to hear of your loss. I was at work at a clothing store and was told by so many shocked customers that came into the shop. Although we were not as special or singularly lucky to be considered her soulmate Rove, just from the response of those around me today made it clear to me how valued, respected and beloved Belinda was by the community of Cheltenham at least.

In writing this message to you and your family we hope we are adding to the voice of all others before and after who’ve sent you condolences to let you know how many of us were touched by Belinda’s courageous independent personality and her clear and obvious love and dedication to you. We were so sad to hear of Belinda's passing this morning. I lost my mum to breast cancer when I was 16 so I have an idea as to how you all must be feeling. Although her life has been tragically cut short, she was blessed to have a beautiful wedding and to be loved by a man who obviously adored her so much. Rove, you will never get over this, but I'm sure that with the love and support of your family and friends you'll eventually be able to move forward and continue to make Belinda proud of you. To Belinda's parents - we are so sorry for your loss, you should never have to bury your child. Belinda was so beautiful, and such an inspiration to so many people. Stay strong, and like the Irwin and Brock families, you will all be in our thoughts too.
