Father's Day Remembrance Services 2008

A cordial invitation is extended to everyone who has suffered the loss of their father or grandfather, whether recently or some time ago. It does not matter whether there is a connection to Great Southern Gardens or not. If families have lost a father and wish to remember him in this special way then they will be made most welcome. We also welcome fathers who have suffered the loss of a child.

The venue for this service will be The Chapel at Great Southern Garden of Remembrance on Mt Cotton Road on Sunday 7th September at 9.00am.

Staff and Management of Great Southern Gardens recognise the very strong link many families have with their fathers. Very often there is a tremendous sense of loss in people’s hearts and lives when there is no longer a father to turn to. In remembering their lives and reflecting on the precious memories they have of their fathers or grandfathers, families have an opportunity to attend this Father’s Day Memorial Service.

Following the service refreshments will be served.

The service will be conducted by a Civil Celebrant, with a photographic reflection and a Lantern Walk. Each lantern will be set afloat on the beautiful lake. A token of remembrance will be handed out and this will be followed by a light supper in the lounge.

You are encouraged to send a photo, so we can include it in the reflection presentation at the services. These can be delivered to John Allison/Monkhouse, 922 Glen Huntly Road, Caulfield or emailed to thughan@monkhouse.com.au. For inclusion these photos must be received prior to 1st September 2008. All photos will be returned after the service.
