Brock you as still a hero to me & 05 will be here forever. Will miss you but never forget. ~~~~~ To Bev, my deepest and most sincere condolences, we all know you were the strength behind Pete and the family. Pete thanks for all the memories, those talks at driver briefings and the words of wisdom that steered a wild and cocky 21 in the right direction way back in 83. I am here today because of you and because of that, you will be in my heart forever my friend. Glenn Gorick Former President of the LC LJ Torana Club of New South Wales ~~~~~ Peter Brock, I went to meet Brocky when he came up to the Gateway Tavern in Mildura to help some sponsorship for the Kelly Boys, which everyone knew he would as that was the type of guy Brocky was, a gentle caring man with a true passion and talent for motorsport. After meeting Brocky and getting his autograph I was so excited and thrilled, but the one thing that stood out about him was his kindness and easy going nature, he could talk to anyone and would never knock back an autograph. Trent Clarke ~~~~~ Our thoughts are with all of Peter's family. We can't imagine to feel what you are all going through at this very sad time, but as they all say God only takes the good young and he needs a legend like Peter up there to help him. He will never be gone in our minds as we figure he isn't here in body but he will always be looking out for his family and his loved ones. We are so sad that we never made it to see him race but I see it as seeing it on TV is the same thing. He will be very sadly missed in our family. RIP ~~~~~ I am a motor racing fan and I was born the day Peter won his first Bathurst so I grew up with stories by by my father telling me that he was racing between the delivery room and the TV room. But my father was able to watch the entire race before I came into the world. So every year after that I shared my birthday celebrations with the bathurst race. I have met Peter so many times over the years and have enjoyed conversation about motor sports in Australia and around the world he will be sadly missed and he was a true aussie champion. It only seems like yesterday that we were standing side by side. Remember you lovingly with enjoyment signing my German shepherd dog photo (HI BROCKIE WOOF WOOF). I have followed you since 1969, and when I met THE GREAT ONE, I was amazed that you were still a natural down to earth person that you had all the time on earth for ANYONE. I am not ashamed to say that you are my idol, and that I loved you. With all the tears that have flowed, you would think the drought has broken. I hope this is all but a dream, see you at Bathurst, mate. Love you and admire you for ever, Reg, Monika, and Brockie Anderson. ~~~~~ To the Brock family, friends and fans, My heart goes out to you all. I grew up in the 1970s watching Peter tame the Mountain and beat my favourite Ford drivers - it was my favourite weekend of the year and a special time for father-daughter bonding. I believe that our Holden versus Ford opposition would not have taken such strong roots without Peter. Last week the world lost a great man, athelete and philosopher - he will never be forgotten and will aways be an inspiration to current and future Aussies. Rebecca Langlands ~~~~~ DEAR PETER Thanks for the memories. you always had time for everyone. We have watched you in every Bathurst. To Bev and family and the entire Brock family my deepest sympathies. Campo Panania NSW ~~~~~ Brocky, ~~~~~ I am just a motor racing fan and spectator, the closest in real life I ever got to him was watching him sign autographs behind the pits at sandown, with Bev by his side, about when lowdes first started, but it's like I've lost my brother,, ~~~~~ Peter, It was always a pleasure to see you race. We saw you at the last race at Lakeside and you were a true sportsman. You always had time for everyone. You made sure everyone had photos and autographs, and all the time apologising for taking so long and holding everyone up. The other crews had packed up and left and you were like the Pied Piper with everyone waiting patiently for their Autographs. I was shattered when I heard the sad news and just couldn't believe it. All I could think of was Not Peter Brock. You will always be King of the Mountain to us, as you are a true Legend. I know you will be watching over everyone. RIP Peter Brock. My heart goes out to your family and friends at this sad time. Allison, Darryl, Andrew, and James. ~~~~~ God bless you peter (GOD) , hope you rest in peace as you will always remain in my heart ~~~~~ To the Brock family, I find it hard to say goodbye, Peter has been a conscious part of my life as far as I can remember and always will be. He is why I love cars, racing and the Australian motor industry. Peter's legacy is so true, I think he is a significant Australian. He showed us just how dynamic he was, quirky? yes, but most artists are. He did his best work in Australia as an Australian and showed us we can do great things, he has breathed true heart and soul into racing and the auto industry . In doing so he has gained a deep love and respect from so many of us. Sometimes when I think of or see something that slows me down to think, that is just beautiful.......,sometimes it's Peter Brock driving a commodore flat out.Thank you! Sascha ~~~~~ So sad to hear what has happend to a wonderful man who will always be remembered as a treasured icon/idol and may many follow in his foot steps and become half a man as was Peter ~~~~~ Peter, I watched you for a number of years I idolise you, when you retired there was no one else. ~~~~~ Dear Beverly, James, Robert, and Alexandra, Since the age of seven when I first saw the poster of Peter flying high in his XU1, I knew this was no ordinary man. He became my hero, mentor and inspiration. Then in 1986, I had the incredible fortune of working on the HDT pit crew at the Adelaide Grand Prix. All of my dreams had been met and to be so close to Peter, Bev, John Harvey, Neal Lowe and the crew was more than I could have ever asked for. You were all the most incredible group of people and Peter was not only everything I had read and seen of him in books and on TV, but in real life he was the warmest, most compassionate, caring and incredible person you could ever meet. I will always cherish the time he took to show me the workings of the team and explain things even though I was just someone off the street that he gave an incredible opportunity to. I am now 43 and words cannot express the sorrow, pain and heartache I feel for all of you at such a sad loss of a true and Incredible person. Peter will live on forever and I know that all of the wonderful people that have left tributes the same as I, will forever keep Peters name and incredible achievements alive from generation to generation. Peter I can't say goodbye it's just too hard, so until I see you at the Bathurst in the sky, go 05 go forever. With Love and Deepest Sympathy Les Tarnay South Australia ~~~~~
