I only knew Catherine through university - but worked quite closely with her on our major final year project. She was extremely intelligent, friendly, and had a good sense of humour. I didn't find out till way after the funeral that Catherine had passed away (since I only knew her through uni) and it was really a shock for me. She was headed for a great life and taken away way too soon. I still think of her quite often.
