Loving Mother and Grandmother
Claire Wallner was born on Mach 4, 1924 as Klara Goller. She immigrated to Australia in the early 50's for a better life as life in post-war Germany this was difficult. She first lived in Sydney for several years, then settled in Melbourne. She fell in love with Australia, became a citizen and decided to use the English spelling for Klara, Claire. She married Rudi Wallner in 1970 and that union lasted until his death in November 2002. For many years Claire worked in a factory assembling telephones. She passed away at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, Victoria on April 10, 2006.
Claire was an avid animal lover and enjoyed the simple things of life such as the outdoors, bright colors and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wolfgang and Maria Goller, daughter Ingeborg Goller-Erdinger, brother Franz Goller, and husband Rudi Wallner. She is survived by her daughter Sieglinde Goller-Chessher and husband Davis Chessher of Trinity, Texas, USA, and granddaughter Manuela Chessher-Perez and husband Theodore Perez of Huntington, Texas, USA.
