PROUD EX ROYAL MARINE..........
CLIFF passed away peacefully at Long Jetty Hospital on Saturday 16th September 2006 just two days short of his 86th brthday. He was late of Toowoon Bay.
CLIFFORD Isaac Rayment was born on 18th September 1920 at Ilfracombe, Devon, England to Herbert and Beatrice (nee Eddy) Rayment. At the age of 24 he married his beloved Beryl at Battersea Town Hall in war torn London. They had a daughter Diane.
CHX3031 CLIFFORD Rayment joined the Royal Marines in 1938. He became a Commando, but as a result of an injury he received during D/Day Landings, CLIFF had to leave the service after completing nearly 10 years service. He became a proud member of the Royal Marines Association he in Australia.
After the war in 1954, CLIFF and his family made the long journey to their new home here in Australia.
CLIFF was a dearly loved husband to Beryl, much loved father to Diane and dear grandad to Sharon, Bill, Caron and Sheree and great grandfather to Remi, Zack, Caleb, Madeline, Abbey, Charli, Alexandra and Ryan. CLIFF will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
