Doris's Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Bob Hooper.

By request, donations may be made to the Spastic Centre, 321 Mona Vale Rd, Terrey Hills NSW 2084, in memory of Doris.

Doris passed away peacefully at Gosford Hospital on Sunday July 12, 2009 at the age of 96 years. Although Doris spent her last few months in Don Leggett House at Peninsula Village, Umina, she lived for many happy years at Ettalong Beach.

Doris Edith Francis was born on April 17, 1913 at Coledale NSW to Harry and Florence (nee Dale) Francis. At the age of 20 years, Doris married her sweetheart Robert Bruce at Concord. They were blessed with six children.

Doris was devoted to her family. A much loved wife to Bob (deceased), Doris was a loving mother & mother in law to John and Helen, Bette and Keith, Wendy (deceased), Robyn and Eric (deceased), Brian and Gail, Kristine and Graeme. A very proud Nan to her 19 grandchildren and 40, soon to be 41, great grandchildren, Doris will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and many friends.

We remember special places,
smiling faces, secret spaces.
Memories of times ago,
the greens of spring, and winter's snow.
Treasured thoughts of moments past,
moments we hoped would always last.
They're distant now, but also near,
just close you eyes and wish them here.
For in your heart, forever traces,
linger of those special places,smiling faces, secret places.
