Ivy passed away peacefully at Orana Nursing Home, Point Clare on Saturday August 29, 2009 at the age of 104 years.

Ivy Florence was born on September 5, 1904 in Launceston, Tasmania and as a foster child, was raised as one of three children by a lovely lady who she called Aunt Mary. At the age of 20, Ivy married her first husband Francis McCarron in Launceston. They were blessed with three children, Baden (deceased), Maxwell and Joy. Unfortunately, Frank passed away at the age of only 52 years. Ivy's second marriage, at the age of 52, was to John Hardy also in Sydney. They spent many happy years living at Ettalong Beach on the Central Coast.

Ivy lived a wonderful full and exciting life. She and Jack travelled extensively around Australia and in her later years involved her self in community groups, playing bowls and ballroom dancing. As a resident at Orana Nursing Home at Point Clare, Ivy lived a happy and comfortable life. She will be very sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.
