Obituary
JIM passed away peacefully at Liverpool Hospital on Monday 23rd April 2007 at the age of 69yrs. He was late of Busby.
James Richard Simmonds was born on the 20 April 1938 at Summer Hill to Roy and Eileen (nee Johnson) Simmonds. At the age of 20, JIM married his sweetheart Elizabeth in Marrickville. They had two children, Steven and Cheryl.
In 1958 , JIM joined the NSW Police Force spending most of his 37 years in the Force, in Sydney where he went on to attain the rank of Inspector.
JIM was a loving husband to Elizabeth, beloved father to Steven and Cheryl and father in law to Michelle. A proud Pop to his dear grandchildren Tatanya and Melanie. JIM will be very sadly missed by his sister Lorna, his brothers Frank and Michael, and by all his family, collegues and many friends.
