DANCING ON THE CLOUDS..........
LES passed away at Berkeley Vale Private Hospital on Sunday 6th August 2006 aged 79yrs. He was late of Long Jetty, formerly of Pyrmont and Rozelle.
LES, christened Leslie James, was born in Sydney on 18th March 1927 to Herbert and Leah (nee Bennett) Griffiths. At the age of 27, LES married his beloved dance partner Patricia (Joan) in Sydney. They had four children, Paul and triplets Leanne, Sharonne and Narelle.
Joan and LES spent many a happy hour dancing, attending the Senior Citizen's Club at Long Jetty at least 3 times a week. While Past years saw Les throwing a line in on The Entrance Lakes, in recent years when he wasn't kicking up his feet on the dance floor, you could find LES in his garden tending to his veggies or quietly doing a crossword puzzle!
LES was a beloved husband to Joan, dear father and father in law to Paul and Margaret, Leanne and Phil, Sharonne and Mick, Narelle and Paul. A respected pop to Erin, Troy, Aimee and Anna. He will be sadly missed by his sister Rita and husband Alan, brother Sid and his wife Jean, brother and sister in law's Jack and Carmel, Leonie and Alan, Helen and Len, Bill and Lesley and not forgetting all his dancing friends.
