Bob's Funeral Service will be conducted by Celebrant Tony Thorrington.

Bob passed away peacefully at his home at Mangrove Mountain with his family at his side on Thursday January 28, 2010 at the age of 89 years.

Robert Hastings Swain was born on September 25, 1920 at Rangers Valley, Quirindi, NSW to Horace and Ruth (nee Harris ) Swain. At the age of 26 years, Bob married his sweetheart Nance McLeod at Haberfield. They were blessed with four children.

After spending four years in the Army and some time working for Commonwealth Gas Company, Bob and Nance decided to move to Mangrove Mountain where they not only raised their family but also farmed the land, veggies, oranges, lemons and finally egg production for nearly 60 years.

Bob was a devoted husband to Nance and a much loved father and father in law to Bob and Kate, Scott and Pauline, Jan and Peter, Mark and Karin. A proud grand father to Kirilly, Amber, Dennis, Lawrence, Jade, Jac, Francoise, Monique, Damian, Connor, Adam, Garry, Tarryn, Logan, True and Joel and great grand father to Liam, Mitch, Nick, Layla, Sienna, Ebony, Amelia, MacCauley, Bonnie, Scott, Annabella, Amelia and one on the way! Bob will be very sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.
