A Celebration of Simones Life will be officiated by Graham Neave.
A special Requiem Mass for Simone will be celebrated at The Valley of Des Colons in Noumea, New Caledonia.

Simone passed away peacefully at Gosford Hospital on Thursday November 12, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Although late of Peninsula Village at Umina Beach, Simone lived for many happy years at Fairlight near Manly and in her beloved Noumea, New Caledonia.
Simone Andre Marcelle Castex was born on September 17, 1920 in Noumea, New Caledonia to Gabriel and Gabrielle (nee Durand) Castex. At the age of 19 years, Simone married her sweetheart Ian Elder in Manly. They were blessed with three children.
Simone was a much loved wife of Ian (deceased) and a loving mother and mother in law to Keith and Nora, Bruce and Lucy, Astrid and Phil. Simone was a dear "Mim" to her 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She will be especially missed by Andre and all her loving family and friends here in Australia and New Caledonia.
