Obituary
Tom passed away peacefully on Thursday January 15th, 2009 at St Joseph's Hospital at the age of 77 years. Although late of Minto, Tom spent alot of his life with his family and friends in Panania.
Thomas Milton Havelock Bates was born on July 26th, 1931 to Milton and Mary ( nee Laughton) Bates in Queanbeyan NSW. At the age of 18, Tom married Beryl. They had two children Roselyn and Geoffrey. In 1955 Tom married his second wife and sweetheart Monica Hargreaves. They were blessed with four sons, Ronald, Peter, John and Terrance.
Tom was a loving husband to Monica (deceased). He was a dearly loved father and father in law to Ron and Margie, Peter and Denise, John and Linda, Terry and Michelle and proud grandfather to Cassandra, Therese, John, Colin, Ben, Nicole, Robert, Holly, Courtney, Melissa, Crystal, Chad, Tanya, Sonya, Adam and Renee. A much loved brother to Betty, Tom will be very sadly missed by all his family and many friends.
