Vera's service will be taken by Pastor John Betts

VERA passed away peacefully at Gosford Hospital on Wednesday 31st May 2006 with her family by her side.

Formerly of Dee Why, VERA and BOB were residents at Berkeley Village for a number of years and then after Bob died she moved into the Nursing Home at Berkeley Vale.

VERA was born in London on 21 November 1912 to Robert and Amelia (nee Watkins) Vanrhee. At the age of 35 she married her beloved husband Bob (Gerrit) in Amsterdam. They had three children, Sonja born in Holland, Elsa born in Indonesia and Suzanne who was born in Australia after their move here in 1950.

VERA was greatly respected and much loved by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be very sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Aged 93 years

You can shed tears that she is gone,

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
Or you can be full of love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her and only that she has gone,
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
Be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what she'd want,
SMILE, OPEN YOUR EYES, LOVE AND GO ON.....................
