Obituary
Walter passed away peacefully at Woy Woy Aged Care on Monday November 23, 2009 at the age of 88 years. He was late of Woy Woy.
Walter Steane Rowland was born on January 23, 1921 in Edinburgh, Scotland. At the age of 19, Walter married his first wife Agnes Temple in Scotland. They were blessed with two daughters. Unfortunately Agnes died and Walter then met and married Ann Deans in Edinburgh but sadly, she too passed away. Then at the age of 63, Walter made the long trip to his new life in Australia where at the age of 68 years he married his sweetheart Joan Dowden in Sydney. They had 20 very happy years together.
Walter will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Joan, daughters Agnes and Margaret and by all his loving family and friends here in Australia and Scotland.
God looked around His garden
and found a special place.
He then looked down upon you
and saw your weary face.
He put His arms around you
and called you home to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
because he only takes the best...
